Well-rested

I fell asleep arount 1 AM last night and didn't wake up until 9:55 AM this morning. I really cannot remember the last time that happened.

I dropped Tony off at the airport yesterday - he's in Utah for the week. They are taking his Grandma (PomPom) off of the respirator. Tony's mom, Sherry, asked him to come out there to give her support. The antibiotics helped PomPom fight off the infection that the doctors didn't think she would survive, but that doesn't mean she is well enough to leave the hospital. The docs say that she needs to breathe on her own without the help of the respirator. Thing is, her body may be too weak but they won't know until it's done. It's a little scary.

Yesterday, we went to brunch with Amanda, Julie and Natalie. Afterwards, I helped Tony pack and then sent him off. I decided not to spend my afternoon studying but rather to take time for myself. I talked on the phone with Jenn, read my Vegetarian Times, took a little nap, ran a couple of errands and then did a major cleaning of the bedroom. Tony finally agreed to let me get rid of the Elliptical Trainer he bought from Sunny when we first moved into the apartment and then he proceeded to never use. It has only taken up space and collected dust in our bedroom for the past 1.5 years. I put a listing on Craigslist and voila! it was gone. I really hope the new owner puts it to use! The floor underneath it was covered in a layer of dust. This inspired me to move all of the furniture and dust & mop the floor. When you have hardwood floors and furry animals, the fur gets in every little crevace. I love how the bedroom feels so much cleaner. And, it looks so much bigger without the huge piece of exercise equipment in it. Ah, the little joys in life.
